Description

Egan Etched Glass Walls combine the look of acid-etched and frosted glass with the flexibility of digital sandblasting. Etching can range from light frosting and fine-line details to deeper dimensional patterns, depending on the glass thickness and project requirements.

Designs can be created from project artwork and coordinated across multiple glass panels to create a continuous pattern across the wall. Different levels of frosting can also be used to control privacy and transparency while still allowing light through the glass.

Etched glass can be combined with digital printing, laminated glass, and other glass treatments, allowing colour, graphics, privacy, and decorative detail to be incorporated into the same architectural glass wall.

Surface Etch: Custom frosted patterns, shading and dimensional detailing produced directly in the glass.
Gradient / Shading: a smooth transition from clear to frosted, with no hard edges.
Deep Carve: designs carved into the glass at different depths for a dimensional effect
Multi-Level: etching layered with print, back-paint or lamination in one panel
Customization: Size, edges, openings, and cut-outs coordinated to the wall

Available combinations

Etch & Laminate: the etched design sealed between two glass layers; protected, easy to clean and safety glazed
Etch & Print: a frosted pattern with full-color printing in or around it
Etch & Backpaint: a frosted pattern over solid color
Etch, print & laminate: layered frost and color, sealed inside

Glass: clear or low-iron
Thickness: 3–19 mm (1/8"–3/4")
Maximum size: 72" × 196"
Edgework: CNC and straight-line polished edges; holes, notches, cut-outs and CNC shaping
Safety glazing: Tempered and laminated: SGCC-certified to ANSI Z97.1-2015, CPSC 16 CFR 1201 and CAN/CGSB-12.1-2022.
Annealed etched glass is not safety glazing.
